1991

Stafford Mechanical Services began as a two‑man operation working out of a basement with trucks parked in the yard. Even then, the focus was on doing honest, high‑quality work for customers and building trust one job at a time — a foundation that still defines the company today.
1996

After landing its first major service account, Stafford Mechanical officially became a full‑time operation. The team began taking on boiler and furnace replacements while strengthening customer relationships that would last decades. This marked the moment the company truly began to take shape.
1998

Stafford Mechanical moved out of the “Bat Cave” and into a functional space on Route 190 in Stafford Springs, CT. With a slightly larger team, an office secretary, and even their first computer, the company began scaling operations while maintaining its personal, hands‑on approach — the first step toward becoming a true full‑service provider.
2000

Through the early 2000s recession, Stafford Mechanical stayed strong by focusing on specialized HVAC systems and high‑skill service work. This shift not only sustained the company through challenging times but also set it apart in the region. By 2002, Stafford Mechanical moved into a larger facility to accommodate its growing team and capabilities.
2012

After purchasing and renovating a building in 2011, Stafford Mechanical moved into its long‑term home the following year. With more space and stability, the company expanded its commercial services, added new employees, and deepened its focus on energy‑efficient upgrades. This period marked the beginning of a new era of steady, reliable, and professional growth.
2025

Stafford Mechanical Services expanded into full plumbing services, strengthening its position as a truly unified home and business partner. Now offering a complete suite of mechanical services — heating, cooling, and plumbing — the company continues to serve customers and communities with unmatched expertise. The team has grown to more than 40 employees, each bringing their own skills and personality to the “Stafford Mechanical way.” In 2025, the company also launched a modern brand refresh, marking a new chapter of progress while staying true to its roots.
